Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Mahmoud Mohamed Hosny Mohamed Emam, who owns and operates the Baligh app ("we"). By using the app or buying a subscription you agree to them.
1. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Baligh on one device for the length of your paid subscription, or during the free trial (48 hours, once per device). The app is licensed to you, not sold.
2. Subscription and payment
- The subscription is annual and renews automatically until you cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.
- Payment is handled by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record: it issues the invoice and collects the tax, and its terms apply to the payment.
- We email you a reminder seven days before a renewal. Refunds follow the refund policy.
- Student and Egypt prices are for those who meet their conditions. We may review orders that don't, suspend the license and refund the payment.
3. Device and moving the license
The license works on one device. You can move it to another device from the app twice a year, and after that through support. Reinstalling on the same device is not a move. The app checks the license online once a week and works offline for up to 14 days.
4. When the subscription ends
Your data, history, style profile and exports stay available; new rewriting stops until you renew.
5. Acceptable use
- You are responsible for the texts you process and how you use the output, including following your university's or employer's rules on academic integrity and on using and disclosing AI tools.
- You may not use the app to break the law or infringe others' rights, circumvent the licensing system, or resell, rent or share the license.
6. Nature of the output
The output comes from AI models and may contain errors of meaning or fact despite the app's checks. Review it before you use it. We make no guarantee about the result of any AI-text detection tool and do not promise to get past one.
7. Your texts
Your texts are yours. We don't see them and they are not sent to us: they are processed on your computer, or by the cloud provider you choose, under its terms. Details in the privacy policy.
8. Third-party services
If you use a cloud provider (such as Anthropic or Google) or local model apps (such as Ollama or LM Studio), their terms apply, and you are responsible for your keys and any costs with them.
9. Updates
We may update the app and change its features, without reducing the substance of what you subscribed to during your paid period. We may amend these terms and will tell you about material changes before they take effect.
10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The app is provided "as is" to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect damages or data loss (keep backups), and our liability never exceeds what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
11. Termination
We may suspend the license for a material breach of these terms, after notifying you where possible.
